Dental emergencies

We always leave time available for emergency appointments. During business hours, call your closest office.

If a permanent tooth is knocked out

  1. 1.Keep the tooth moist at all times.
  2. 2.If possible, put it back in the socket. If not, place it in a small container of water or milk. Milk is preferred.
  3. 3.Hold it by the crown, never the root.
  4. 4.Don't remove or scrub off any attached tissue fragments.
  5. 5.Call right away. You have the best chance of saving the tooth with treatment within the hour.

After business hours

For severe pain or swelling, current patients can consult with the dentist on call.

  1. 1.Call either office.
  2. 2.When prompted, press two for emergency services.
  3. 3.An answering service will ask about your symptoms.
  4. 4.Depending on your symptoms, they'll contact the dentist on call, who will call you back.

The consult has a fee that may not be covered by insurance, and a phone consult doesn't guarantee treatment.
